Safeguarding

Our Safeguarding Policy
Bromley Prevent

We are committed to providing the highest standards in relation to the safeguarding of the children and young people entrusted to our care.

At Woodside Park School, the safety and well-being of our pupils are our highest priority. We are deeply committed to safeguarding all children and creating a secure and nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and listened to. We believe that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding refers to the actions we take to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm. This includes:

  • Providing support to meet children’s needs as soon as problems emerge.
  • Protecting children from maltreatment, including online.
  • Preventing harm to children’s mental and physical health or development.
  • Ensuring children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care.

Our Dedicated Safeguarding Team

Our school has a dedicated team responsible for leading our safeguarding efforts:

  • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): Martin Nirsimloo – Headteacher
  • Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs): Karin Compton – Deputy Headteacher, Jasmin Mirza – Assistant Headteacher
  • Safeguarding Governor: Lorna Davies-Bailey – Regional Director
