Meet our Team

Welcome to Woodside Park School. As a brand new school we have been able to build our team of staff with the needs of the community and children in mind.

The team have come together with a multitude of skills and experience that have been identified as best fitting in with the vision for the school and we are confident that Woodside Park School will be a thriving and successful learning community for all with their support.

Martin – Head Teacher

Martin has been a Headteacher in both mainstream and SEN school’s for over a decade, across multiple school trusts in London.

Karin – Deputy Head Teacher

Karin’s career in SEN started 43 years ago, when, after completing her BA in History and PGCE in 1982, she began working at a Specialist SEN School for Autism and Profound and Complex Needs.
Karin’s passion for SEN saw her move in the late 1980s/1990s into mainstream education, setting up Inclusion units in mainstream schools to transition children from SEN Schools back into mainstream. The driver here was because it promotes equality and breaks down barriers, ensuring all students have access to quality education and fostering a more equitable society.
In 1997 to 2010, she joined the National Strategies as a school improvement consultant focusing on SEND, Inclusion and Emotional well-being. During this time, she qualified as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, whilst engaging in research to support the National Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) program.
In 2010, she worked with the Office for London on the establishment of Virtual Schools for LAC because improving outcomes for children in care has always been a passion. This also provided her with the opportunity to engage in research regarding what the protective factors are for enabling them to achieve academic and emotional well-being success.
For the last 13 years, she has focused on her passion for enabling children with SEMH and Autism to achieve their goals and dreams. This has been through her engaging in advanced safeguarding training, advanced mental health training, Autism training, and becoming part of the Thrive Approach as initially a practitioner and then undertaking the Thrive Approach train the trainer course. During this time, she has extended her knowledge of trauma-informed practice and the field of neurodivergence.
Karin is passionate about promoting students’ holistic development, academic success, and emotional resilience in an exciting and dynamic school environment. Her ultimate goal is improving the quality of life for all: students, families, and the professional team.

Mary-Ann – Assistant Headteacher

Han has now worked across three schools across Outcomes First Group, providing support for pupils aged 5-21, as well as their families and the wider school community . Han believes her role is essential to teaching staff in order for the school environment to be well prepared for students day-to-day. Han is a central point of communication and support to both staff and parents.

Han has also worked and gained classroom experience in multiple mainstream and special schools before moving onto her administration role. During her university degree, Han completed a placement in The Children’s Hospital School, Great Ormond Street.
